About Us

Bobby Average Guy Choppers LLC. A company dedicated to giving you the very best parts for your bike no matter what and how you ride. I am Robert B. Brown III the founder and owner of Average Guy Choppers LLC. I go by Bobby and think you all have the right to know who you are dealing with and where I come from. I have been into motorcycles since I was 5 and rode my first minibike. I have raced in almost every style from Motocross to Dragsters but found my real home on a motorcycle dragster. I enjoyed making my bike lighter and stronger, more powerful and more attractive as well as intimidating. Early on in my racing I got tired of the crashing that was part of the road course scene and went with some friends to the dragstrip on my sportbike (a Honda Interceptor) and I was hooked from that night on. I liked Harleys too and it just so happened that the first sanctioning body I ran across was one that was all Harley called the AMRA American Motorcycle Racing Association they had a pretty good event schedule and so I built up my bike and went out. I modified my early softail and started making some races, I soon found out that it was too heavy and too slow even though it was faster than any softail in my home town. So I built myself a monster pro street sportster with some friends help one of whom was the mechanic at a local dealership had appointed to help my racing out, he and I got along so well we decided to put together a shop of our own. I set out racing and managed a World Championship on my Sportster then built a Pro Modified bike and we won another world Title with it and set four world records along the way 2 low E.T. and 2 mile per hour, but the Harleys were way too expensive to make me happy enough speed wise. I had lots of friends at my local track and some of them were riding real hoopties but they were still flying and on a shoestring budget no less so I found the only way to continue to scratch the speed bug and still eat was to build some import bikes. I raced Harleys Pro and Semi Pro for 8 years and imports for another twelve (and am going back out this season as well) and all the time finding ways to make the bikes faster, stronger, lighter and prettier. I built lots of street bikes and had lots of them in various magazines and even a few TV shots, bikes of both kinds Harley and Import and I was always being approached by friends for parts like my own so I would help them out, and found I enjoyed that as much as racing. I had a great shop here in Saint Louis for several years but I never did like working on other peoples bikes don’t get me wrong I like working on bikes making things that are both functional and beautiful but too many people want you to “give me a break” and I don’t mean that in a bad way I just cant compete with 30 other shops all trying for that bolt on part money I sell bolt on stuff at great prices but my big love is custom pieces that you cant get anywhere else. There are so many little shops out there seems like every day there is a new one here or there and so many people aren’t into it for the love of the bikes just too trendy and I am not that guy I care about the sport and the machines way too much to sell it short. I want my parts to go to people who know what it takes to have something really special and unique. I have put together and operated Average Guy Choppers for that reason to provide the very best parts for your Hog, Chopper or any type of custom or performance machine, but specializing in Hogs and Choppers. We can provide any part you might need for your Hog or Chopper Dragster or Street Cruiser even help you build your own or maybe just maybe if you really want one special build it for you. Our specialty parts are the very best all one of a kind you will never get a Sissybar or set of our pipes or handlebars and pull up at Bike Week and see the guy next to you with the exact same that is my promise to you and they are made from scratch out of love for the sport. Our pieces are like artwork and that is a fact in choosing us you can rest assured of a true custom and the highest quality and attention to detail we offer powdercoating and chrome plating and we want to be your next level custom shop. We look forward to serving any and all your needs! Thank You, Average Guy Choppers LLC. Robert B. Brown III / Bobby
